We are the recommended tour operator for guided tours of Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park for schools.

We can offer half day or full day visits where you travel from your school or college into London by a coach hired locally at your end or our tour guides can meet you at Stratford Station if you are planning to arrive by public transport.

Our guided tours are fun and informative we absolutely refuse to be boring!

Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park lends itself to play so a typical plan would be arrive, spend a penny and let off some steam at Tumbling Bay Playground (whatever the age!) before walking through the park visiting inside iconic Olympic venues where possible on the day usually this means going inside the Velodrome for a real wow moment of seeing the sharply raked Olympic track.

You can add a trip to the top of ArcelorMittal Orbit to give the visit a high point at the end (sorry, dreadful pun intended) and this being a park there are plenty of places to enjoy a packed lunch.

A morning tour should finish by 12.30pm and an afternoon tour would start from 1.30pm or 2.00pm. Allow at least 90 minutes to do the park justice. If you are including ArcelorMittal Orbit we’d suggest allowing a total of three hours.

For EFL groups we can deliver commentary in accessible (but not dumbed down) English.

Our tour guides don’t keep students standing for ages listening to reams of dates and facts. The are engaging guided tours that incorporate a lot of fun to make for a very satisfying experience.

Trolley Tours For Younger Children

For children aged 4 -11 book an Olympic Trolley Tour. Designed to engage younger children the tour guide arrives with a trolley on wheels packed with marvellous props and toys. We might be putting a bargeman’s cap and neckerchief on a couple of youngsters to tell the story of Victorian life on the waterways that criss-cross the park or maybe an olive wreath to tell the story of the Ancient Greek games. Inside the trolley is a ball with bells so we can play Paralympic blind football and other props include a set of architects blueprints for the park, a tug-of-war rope as an example of a sport from the 1908 London Games, an Olympic torch, a tiny telly screen that a privileged few might have watched coverage of the 1948 London games on and a massive size 22 trainer as worn by the tallest athlete to take part in the London 2012 Games.

This unique adventure for younger children works best as a two hour tour and also includes time in Tumbling Bay playground. It’s a hoot for everyone involved and a really memorable experience, both educational and entertaining for younger children
